Yes. Browser Bro will receive future updates with bugfixes, new features and refinements.

Browser Bro already runs on Android and iOS because of the nature of our platform.  However we must adapt the user experience for mobile, which is where the challenges are.  Our underlying platform displays all browsers overtop of other controls.  So we cannot show a toolbar overtop of any browser.  Neither can we create floating stacks, as all stacks must be full screen, on mobile.  We will get creative to solve this challenge, and we will succeed, we just don’t know how yet.

• Browser Bro requires a pin or password to open
• There is no tracking of how Browser Bro is used except by validation of your license using your email and password.
• Browser Bro stores your user data (saved code blocks) on your device in a folder you can access and make a backup of.  However, your data records are saved in an encrypted state. We use AES-256.
• Browser Bro does not upload any of your saved code blocks to any cloud service for storage or analysis.  We could not look at your code blocks because we do not have your key.  Your key is on your device protected by your Browser Bro device PIN / Password.
• Browser Bro defaults all web communications to use HTTPS.  To use localhost or http:// you must specify it.
• The local cache of the webpages you visit is stored in a safe space chosen by your operating system.  We do not have access to this data, as our executable does not ask for elevated permissions.
• Our executables are signed with a certificate from Global Sign using a certificate issued to MakeShyft RDA, Browser Bro’s parent company. We sign our software with SighPath.io

Browser Bro does have certain limitations, and there are things it can not do, and websites on which its shorthand script does not work.  The web is dynamic and so is the world of software creation.  

We will try to document the known limitations as best as possible.  We will also do our best to overcome them.

As software developers building on a platform (Livecode), we are limited to the platform on which we are built.  In this case, if our platform’s ‘build’ of a “webview” (Which is what browser bro uses AS browser)  cannot properly render or load a particular site on the web, there is little we can do about it without an update to the platform build.  This is a tradeoff for which we are well compensated.  We can build to all platforms from one code base literally. 

If you have trouble with something specific, you can always ask our support bot (you can get super specific with the bot), or create a ticket. (you must be logged into your account.) Please try the bot first. (Our bot conversations are logged with out chatbot platform chatbase.co), so don’t put in any sensitive info.

Browser Bro gives you lots of power to make certain kinds of work easier.  It also gives you the power to cause automated chaos and harm.  Yes, we’re going to quote Spiderman’s uncle….  With great power comes great responsibility.

If you use the Browser Bro for any of the following purposes, you will be violating the User License agreement, and this invalidates your license.

• Spamming others
• Scamming others
• Deceiving others
• Bullying or Harming others in any way
• Flooding websites with traffic (unless its your own website).
• Abusing web services by using automation *

* Browser bro is for “personal” automation of your personal workflow and work.  You are expected to use delays in your automation scripts so as to not cause any excessive usage.

Yes, there is license validation when Browser Bro starts.
Also, your lifetime license is will renew itself every year.

You will be prompted when you need to validate your license. Doing so is simple using your main Browser Bro account email and password. (NOT your device PIN or password).

In case you are in the middle of something, you will be able to dismiss those prompts a few times and validate later.

Auto-validation will be available which is like a “remember me” toggle for your Browser Bro Account.
