Kiosk Mode in the Browser Array is a browser superpower in its own right….
When Active, anytime the browser begins to load a URL, it checks whether that URL is in the “Limit Navigation To” setting for this Browser #:
If so, it lets the page load.
If not, it just refreshes the last current page.
This lets you have a permanent workspace that can not change. An “immutable workspace”
You cannot lose the tab.
You cannot leave the page, your browser stays within the limits you have set.
because you can lock each Browser # in the Browser Array to its own limited set of allowed URLs.
That is KIOSK Mode in a nutshell, try it using these simple steps:
- Activate KIOSK MODE in the Browser Array Settings
- Go to Browser Settings of the Browser # you want to lock.
- Set the “Limit Navigation” field to:
- A full URL, locking that browser to only that URL.
- A URL path www.domain.com/the-path/ which would allow all pages that start with www.domain.com/the-path/
Note: If the Limit Navigation To field is empty, the kiosk setting is ignored and all urls are allowed.
